Fire Marshal and Building Inspector

FIRE INVESTIGATION

The Fire Marshal component of the office is responsible to investigate all incidents where risks to life, safety and property preservation is involved including, but not limited to fire, hazardous materials incidents, and accidental or intentional damage to any fire protection or detection system within the jurisdiction of the University of Connecticut Fire Marshal and Building Inspector’s Office. The Fire Marshal and Deputies may also respond to any jurisdiction to which a UConn Fire Code Official has been requested to respond to and assist based on a mutual aid request.
